Worshipful Masters

Worshipful Masters explores ritual, authority and the human desire to connect with forces beyond ourselves. Each work presents a ceremonial figure whose physical form has been transformed, suggesting that spiritual authority comes not from the individual, but from becoming a vessel for something larger.

Drawing on esoteric traditions, monastic imagery and imagined religions, the collection creates a world of processions, sacred garments and mysterious symbols. The Masters occupy the space between human and archetype, their altered bodies expressing different ideas of transcendence.

Rather than depicting any existing religion, the collection imagines its own spiritual language, one in which ritual, symbolism and transformation become ways of contemplating our place within a universe far larger than ourselves.
